Mommy & Me

Hi everyone!! Hope all is well. I wanted to post a picture of mom and me. You wouldn't believe how much she loves me! She tells me a million times a day and gives me twice that many kisses. Sometimes, she and dad kiss me on both cheeks at the same time, can you imagine?! They even share their bed with me contrary to what many well-meaning others tell them. I am doing pretty well sleeping in the portable crib, but sometimes I get lonely in there, so they cuddle me right between them. Honestly, it's where I sleep my best. I give them at least 3 hours when they snuggle with me. Truth be told, I really don't think they mind. I am pretty sure they enjoy it as much as I do. Mom says we are thinking of moving upstairs tomorrow. I am so excited to sleep in my new room, although mom will probably wheel my crib into her room. Crazy lady can't take her eyes off of me!! The clean-up guy came and assessed today and they will be calling to come and clean soon. They are going to clean everything (even though it doesn't seem to need it). They are also going to pay for dry cleaning everything downstairs and upstairs. Might as well let someone else do the laundry for a change! The clean up guy is also sending his fireplace mason to assess the fireplace. We are pretty sure the insurance company is going to sue the chimney service that certified our fireplace. Eventually we should recover our $500 deductible from that. We hate that someone might lose their business, but we're also glad that they will be held accountable. They should never have certified our fireplace if they hadn't ever seen one built like it, can you imagine? Nevertheless, it could have been so much worse. Just a pain to deal with on our 2 weeks off. Especially for Dad, he works like a man possessed. Mom and I are so proud of him; he has to be the best dad in the world. He takes such good care of all of us. Now we really just wait until the cleaners come and gradually take in things to the dry cleaners, no problem. Well, thought I would update everyone on today's news. I'll keep the pictures coming; I am quite photogenic for a little guy! Love to all of you, Cooper

Hello everyone! I hope all is well. I have posted pictures of my two favorite activities! This is mostly what I've been doing for the past few days, I am working very hard on growing big and strong. I have great news to report. The fire insurance rep is sending a cleaning crew tomorrow to clean our house and our furniture! Isn't that wonderful? Dad has been working his poor fingers to the bone trying to get the basement in order with his new shop vac. He fixed the floor temporarily and has been keeping our place up and running. One day, I hope to grow up and be such a great man. Mom is busy feeding me and getting so much better herself. Today she showed me my new room and my toys and played my mobile for me. I also have this awesome monkey and pooh bear that sings to me. I am one lucky guy. Must be everyone loves me so much as my room is full of these beautiful tokens of their thoughtfulness. I hope everyone knows how much I appreciate them. My jaundice is also much better, as is my poor swollen head. I am really better than new and we are having fun. It is a little smelly in here, like we had a weinie roast without the smores. But that will be gone soon. More exciting news is that Gramma Bryant is coming to spend next week with me and mom. Mom is REALLY looking forward to the help and company. She may gain a few of those shed pounds back, but that's always fun. Well, I am one hungry guy so I have to run before I show how much I am like Daddy (aunt Amber, you know what I mean, haha). Love you all so much, come and see me. Cooper

Small town Saturday night

WE HAD A ROWDY SATURDAY NIGHT HERE IN UNION BRIDGE, BUT ALL IS WELL TODAY. WILL POST THE EXCITING STORY LATER WHEN BOTH HANDS ARE FREE : ). LOVE TO ALL OF YOU, COOPER
Later...So if you haven't yet heard, there was a 2-Alarm fire in Union Bridge last night. Day 5 of my life and our house caught on fire. Fire alarm, firetrucks, firemen, the whole nine yards...Good thing my daddy can keep his head because my mommy definitely cracks under pressure! Dad had the whole thing under control. Poor Sam, he is still a bit traumatized, but I, on the other hand, am doing great. We were lucky not to lose our home. Sam, as Lassie always does, saved the day. If we hadn't forgotten to feed him, dad would never have discovered that the basement was on fire below the fireplace. Thank God, we are all safe and sound. And dad worked all day and you can hardly tell that any of last night's events took place. Mom was a bit of a basket case as she couldn't see any of what was going on...still probably for the best. So she just fed me and changed my diaper at the neighbor's house, good thing the milk is here, have milk, will travel, that's what I always say...Oh yes, where was I? All in all we were back in bed and cozy by 11:00 pm. Mom had a hard time sleeping from the worry, but otherwise, I was an angel because I knew how bad they needed the rest. Dad is now cleaning the rug with his favorite tool, the vacuum cleaner, and we are almost as good as new. The building inspector comes tomorrow as does the insurance claims guy, and then we will be all set to find a contractor. So, everyone send up a great big thank you to God for us today for looking out for our little family and our home. Quite a Saturday night for a 5 day old...I'm a wild man!
Love to everyone, Cooper

Cooper's News

Hello friends and family. Mom and dad would like to keep my Grampas and Grammas, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends near by creating Cooper's very own blog. This will be a geat way for me to share all those great moments with my whole family because I don't get to see you nearly enough. You can add my Blog to your favorites and check in to see what's new with me. Mom and Dad will try to keep everyone updated and you can leave me your comments. Mom and dad will read them to me until I can read them myself.

This is me at the hospital. I was born on the 22nd of January, 2007 at 7:32 pm. I weighed 9 lbs 2 oz and measured 21 inches long. Thank goodness, Gramma Bryant was there to greet me and help coax me into this world. Mom and Dad say that they couldn't have done it without her. Besides, she is the one who took all of these wonderful pictures of my birthday, all of which we will treasure for years to come. And the coolest is that one day I can share them with my little ones!! Mommy keeps laughing because her friends think she hired a professional photographer to take my pictures, little do they know she would have had she thought of it first! Lucky for her she had her own on hand, ha! So far, I have had a few visitors (more than mom and dad have the whole time they have lived in Maryland, I hope they aren't jealous!). Mom's friends at work came and saw me at the hospital and then another co-worker came to our house today. Also, we have lots of visitors planning to come and see me AND I CAN'T WAIT!! Thank goodness, mom is on her feet and has conquered the stairs two times, without me of course. I wish she would hurry so I can see my new bedroom! So far, that's about it...mom and dad think I am the best, most beautiful baby in the world, and of course, I am absolutely perfect. But please, come and see for yourselves as soon as you can. The hotel Bryant welcomes you, please just call ahead so we can make your room cozy! Love you all and can't wait to meet you. You are gonna love me so much!! Cooper
