Hello out there! Happy Independence Day to all of you! I wish I was celebrating my independence from this nasty old fever and rash. On a positive note, I did get to spend all day with mom yesterday. I would like to say we had lots of fun, and considering the circumstances, we did, but I am just not feeling up to par. I did get to go visit Dr. Vento. He thought I had chickenpox too at first, as did mom and dad, but then he struck it up to a nonspecific viral rash. My all-knowing mom still has her doubts. She has been holding me in the light examining my spots hourly; please help! I can't say I mind the attention too much, now I understand what the phrase "mother hen" truly means. She has been giving me tylenol and motrin around the clock, feeding me all of my favorite foods (slightly chilled of course), and holding me to my heart's content. Oh yes, and she bought me a sippy cup and let me drink some cold water from it. Dad is doing his part too...today he bought me a new high chair! It is very nice; it matches my swing. I will post pics of me enjoying it soon. Latest news (besides the dirty old fever and rash of course)...we had a ball in WV at the fourth of July celebration. I got to see almost all of the old gang mom and dad went to college with and their babies too! I held hands with MacKenna, and chatted it up with Brianna. She was a bit upset so I cried along with her; am I a good friend or what?! Dad mentioned what a difference in all of us a few years makes...I am not sure what he meant by that, but maybe it was the fact we were in bed by midnight. In fact, I was in bed at 8pm and slept through the entire fireworks show. This show by the way, was held in aunt Heather and Josh's yard. We were not sure this was exactly legal, but we felt much better when the fire trucks showed up! There were over 100 people there, what a bash! You should have seen mom and dad...they barely watched the fireworks, because of all of the big booms they kept running upstairs to check on me. Isn't that the sweetest? I was sleeping like a log on Heather's bed, but don't you think I am a party pooper. Check out the pics above if you don't believe me! Other news, I got to see Gram and Gramps B before we left. They brought us presents from Key West. Mom and dad got t-shirts and I got two awesome books! They are coming back soon to babysit me for a whole week. Oh yes...we had a wonderful visit with Ms. Michele. Remember I told you she was coming to see me. We had a delicious dinner...we certainly loved having her. Ms. Norma is supposed to come back with her soon. Maybe tomorrow if I am feeling a little better. Well, I am pretty sleepy, this fever sure makes me tired. I will try to write again very soon. Happy Birthdays go out to Ms. Mary Caldwell and aunt Carole. Love to all of you, please write soon. Your little firecracker, Cooper B
PS: We love uncle Jim, hooray for aunt Billy!!

Happy 4th to you Cooper, Angie and Beau. Cooper are you trying to rip the little girls dress off her????????? Tell mom and dad to keep an eye on ya. So sorry to hear you are "out of sorts" as Aunt Bev use to say when your dad, Amber and Bart we sick. Will check in on you tomorrow. So, how do you like water and the sippy cup? You are trying and doing all sorts of new things. Hope your 4th was a little fun for you. Love, Gram B.
Well man about town...sounds like you had a great 4th Bash! I am so sorry to hear you aren't feeling well though, darn ole rash and fever. I sure hope you get better quick! Pappy and I are so missing you, Pappy flew back out to San Francisco, so I'll be alone for 3 weeks. Maybe you could just come and keep me company. Wouldn't that be grand! With your social life 3 weeks would fly by. Well you take care of yourself and follow Mommy's orders. Hope your feeling fit as a fiddle soon. Miss you so. Love Grammy J.
