Finally Feeling Better!

Hi there, how is your spring going so far? Mine is great, except for the recent bout of illness that has hit the Bryant household. Dad and I have had quite a week to say the least. Mom was getting worried about the both of us, she knows we are tough guys and was beginning to wonder if we were ever going to shake this nasty old virus. I have had the infamous hand, foot, and mouth AND a right ear infection. Dad has the the sore throat from you know where and felt much like he had been beat with a baseball bat! Last night was my first night sleeping through the night in a week. Up until Thursday night, I was up all night every 30 minutes checking in with m&d to remind them just how terrible I was feeling. I am posting a picture of my poor little foot just to give you an idea of what my throat looked like. Needless to say, it was far from pretty. There for a few days, I couldn't even swallow my own saliva! But don't worry, I am still the same old Cooper B, tough as nails, you know the B stands for big and brave. Some fabulous news...the B also stands for Big Brother! Yep, you read it right, I am going to be a BIG BROTHER, whoo wee! Isn't that the best news you've ever read on the blog?! Our little family thinks so anyway...mom had her first Dr. appointment this past Thursday and much to her surprise and delight, she is about a month or more further along than she thought. Good news too, because she has been feeling pretty bad. You moms out there must really love us little ones to put up with feeling like you do. My mom says it's worth every bit of it and more to have another one like me! Isn't she the sweetest? I can't say I blame her though, I am one charming fellow. I have been repeating EVERYTHING. Yesterday, I said raining and believe it or not, my new fancy word is...Beau! How about that?! At first m&d thought they heard me incorrectly, but then I gave my dad what mom calls a poop-eating grin (I cleaned it up for you G audience members) and then they both realized I can say my da-da's name! I am also working puzzles like a prodigy. I have a new one with sea creatures and I can almost name them all! My favorite is the whale and of course, the seahorse. I don't know if I have told you about my favorite book, Secret Seahorse, but my aunt Helen is going to be so proud of me when she comes to see us, I have learned to point out the seahorse on every page! Wait till she gets a load of me!! We had a very nice gift today, our neighbors had some mulch left over and shared it with us. M&D were so excited, it really made the flowers (the ones still living that is) look so nice! I don't know if you knew it, but my gram and gramps B were here to visit last weekend and we had a great time. I think both Mom and Gramma B had a wonderful Mother's day. I got mom a special card that sings a song and you can record something, I told her "trash". No surprise there, that is my favorite word. Unfortunately, it got erased so she will have to settle for "hat" instead; nothing says "I love you" quite like "hat". Also a good one by mom's count. Gram got a special surprise in her mother's day card, we signed Baby B's name to it. Isn't that clever? We did the same thing for Grammy J figuring that's just about as good as a mother's day present can get. Don't you think? Well, I better run...m&d did some yard work while I took myself a nice catnap today. I figure we will hit the big city for some dining out and shopping : ). Hope you had a fantastic mother's day if you're a mom. I personally want to thank you and tell you how very much we little ones (and big ones) appreciate all you do. Dad starts his new job on Monday, so say a little prayer for him. We'll be doing the same for you in whatever your endeavors are and of course, just because we love you. Drop us a line or better yet, come and congratulate our family in person. We'll be thinking of and missing you bunches. Much love and hugs AND kisses, Cooper B.

Happy May to You!

How do you do? Fine here thanks for asking. We are enjoying this beautiful weekend and we hope you are doing the same. The weather has been gorgeous here in UB this past few days, whew, we were beginning to wonder if spring would EVER get here! Dad's crossfit seminar was, as I am sure you predicted, a great success. He now has his level one crossfit certification and just this past Friday he earned his CPR card. How about that? He is getting ready to take the practice test for his CSCS (certified strength and conditioning coach) and he will be well on his way to getting some people in shape here in Maryland! He already has a wonderful pupil, our friend, James High. He comes weekly for the punishment, and both mom and dad always anxiously await his arrival. You should see how well he is coming along out there! He only has just begun and before long, he will be out-lifting mom, haha. Dad has also converted the Smells who are posting workouts to be very proud of along with dad on their workout blog. They recently completed Murphy, which is a workout to top all workouts. Let's say it isn't for the faint of heart. Mom and dad are so excited to have them for motivational partners. Too bad we all can't be closer to REALLY share in the blood, sweat, and tears. More news on that, since dad's new job, I am pretty sure our house is coming back off the market. Needless to say, the market isn't in much shape for a sale right now. But don't worry about us, we say whatever is meant to be will be. Other fabulous news...Dad heard the word about his new job and he starts May 12th. We are so happy for him and we know he will be a tremendous success. We had some special surprise visitors this evening, Ms. Michele came with Mr. James tonight. She joined me for my bath and naked gallavanting...we had a fabulous time. Unfortunately, I missed out on the majority of my afternoon nap and I was beginning to get a tad bit grumpy. I sure hope Ms. Michele and Mr. James can forgive my manners! More news...I am still very much into trash, throwing most everything into the garbage can and deeming it "trash" whether or not it is. I am also obsessed with the vaseline and digging my little fingers in it every time I get the chance. Good news for the upcoming weekend, gram and gramps B are coming to see us. We discovered a lovely new place to people watch and window shop and we can't wait to take them there. Well, it's approaching my bedtime and I guess that's enough good news for one post. Don't worry, I'll write again real soon. Until then, we'll be thinking of you and wishing you well. Please take care of yourselves and come see us any chance you get. Lot and lots of love, Cooper B.
