Hello out there and Happy Memorial Day weekend to you. We hope that you, unlike us, are on a vacation away from your cleaning, laundry and yard work. Dad said to mom just this morning, next time we have a three day weekend, we are going SOME where! As you can tell, the two of them are feeling a bit overwhelmed from the daily grind. I have FINALLY posted the pics from my trip to WV as well as my trip to the zoo at the beginning of this month. So sorry for the delay, but honestly folks, I can hardly tell if I am coming or going these days. I guess that's what you get for becoming a big boy! I have all sorts of news for you, so I'll dive right on in...Gram and Gramps came to see me again since my last post; we are trying to convince them to buy the house next door to no avail. We will keep working on them seeing as how the only time m&d get things done is when they visit! Can you imagine how much landscaping and housecleaning they could do if grammagramps (what I call them) were our neighbors?! Dad has a big weekend coming up, he is heading off to a nutrition certification in VA all day tomorrow. To celebrate, mom had her last bowl of ice cream tonight in what she feels will be a long, long time. Lucky for me, I'm a kid so the rules don't apply, whew! Let me tell you, she savored every last morsel of that Edy's thin mint! I want to tell you what I did tonight, but I don't want you to well up and be a big baby like mom; I rode my very first carnival ride all by myself. By mom's reaction you would have thought I packed up and went away for my first week at summer camp. Let me tell you, I can drive a hot rod. I can even steer with one hand and wave, or honk the horn. I rode the heck out of those cars; I was driving all over that place. I also took one spin on the caterpillars, but that was just a bit much for me. I couldn't walk straight when I got off those crazy worms! Made me BUSY (my word for dizzy)! I guess you could say I am growing up at what mom calls the speed of light. I do EVERYTHING on my own and Lord help you if you try to assist me! I can open the door and get in the car all by myself, hook my own carseat, open our backdoor (read 20 times a day, mom keeps it deadbolted but knows it's only a matter of time), put on my shoes, take the lid off my sandbox, put my own movies in the dvd player, the list honestly goes on and on! And guess what else, I got another new pool; this makes about 10 in the past two weeks, but who is counting?! Mom finally got her way and now we have a pump. I guess you could say she was more than a little upset when she took the new tarp cover off my other new pool only to find it filled with some strange looking worms and lots of slime. Well, you know she drained that thing lickety split and rolled it up. That pool will be back to Walmart before you can say "that's gross". I knew something serious was about to go down when I heard her tell Crystle, either Beau is bringing home the pool I want or I'm going to get it! Go mom! Wouldn't you know, the new pool is sitting in our dining room as we speak?! I guess she'll spend tomorrow morning trying to figure out how to set that thing up. Bless her heart, you should have seen her setting up that gazebo by herself today. It looks great, but I bet if I had a video camera we could have won some money on mine and dad's favorite show. Thank goodness I was in the sandbox and out of earshot, that's all I have to say about that. But...it's up and it looks great; I will try to post a pic as soon as we have the pool to go under it. I think mom has a compulsion to summer proof the back yard; poor thing was cooped up to long this winter if you ask me. OK, on with the news...mom had her first day at work on Thursday; it went great except for poor brother. He had a rash, he's still teething, he wouldn't drink his milk...poor little guy, it was terrible. Mom felt so bad for Ms. Michele and Jag, I thought she was going to cry! Dad says not to worry though, he will be just fine, like yours truly. Speaking of Jagger, he also had a blast at the carnival tonight! You should have heard him squealing and laughing at all the rides. He loved watching me drive those hot rods. You know he'll be five months old in 4 days; can you believe it? He's almost sitting up by himself, and m&d swear he's trying to walk! We'll be showing him off to our PA family this upcoming weekend when we go visit for Kamrie's graduation party. We are excited to see everyone and of course, to eat Snickerdoodle cake! We'll try to save you a piece! Well folks, I could talk all night, but I better run. Have to rest up to help mom set up that pool tomorrow. Crossfit Retribution wants to thank all of you for your support; dad is doing so great with the business and keeps adding more students and time slots! Pretty soon he'll be recruiting me to train! Don't worry though, I'm up for it; I can almost do a pullup already! I have more pictures to share and will try to post them as soon as possible, but please folks, don't hold your breath! Come see our new layout and fancy pool with the filter sans worms if and when you get the notion. We'll leave the light on for you...until then, we'll be missing you lots and loving you bunches! You watch out for those bees too, they'll get you. The other day, I told mom the waps bought me the mail! I'm full of funny sayings these days; I keep m&d in stitches. Come on by and I'll entertain you too, of course. Take care and be safe. Lots of love to all of you and thanks for tuning in, Cooper B.
